Lissylane Wishing Well

A friend of mine approached me a little while back for some help with designing a wishing well for their wedding. As they intended to honeymoon in Bali and the wishing well money collected from their wedding was for this purpose, I thought it fitting that the wishing well was in fact designed as luggage.

I proposed the idea of vintage luggage as the wishing well to the bride and she loved it!

Made from a paper mache "luggage" shaped box, the wishing well is decorated in the wedding colour scheme of burgundy red, black and ivory. The luggage is painted in a thick burgundy red, using a cross-hatch motion to add texture. 

Custom designed airline stickers are attached to decorate the outside, along with some black ribbon to line the edge and rhinestones to add some bling.

Using some heart split pins and black ribbon, vintage designed luggage tags have been attached to the handle. These are custom made with the bride and groom's names and "Wishing Well" hand written in cursive font on a metallic bronze background for an aged appearance.

The wishing well has been personalised using photos of the couple, which have further been photo-shopped to look like "old time" Polaroid photos. These have been attached to the inside of the box, which when open will be on display for the guests to see.

A wishing well poem designed as a postcard has been created to accompany the wishing well and will be displayed in a photo frame on the wedding day. The design contains stamp marks, bar codes and is addressed to guests with love from the bride and groom.
