The Bride: Charlene, Child Care Group Leader & Uni Student The Groom: Michael, Computer Programmer Wedding Location: St Luke's Anglican Church, Toowoomba Qld Date of the Wedding: Saturday 1st September 2007
The Wedding Style:Traditional, formal and elegant. The wedding took place in the afternoon at St Luke's Anglican Church in Toowoomba. This church was chosen due to its traditional appeal and grandeur.
The church has beautiful stained glass windows which looked great in our photos! The wedding was very intimate with only 50 guests (mostly family). The reception followed at Weis restaurant which is another rather formal and historic building in Toowoomba.
The traditional wedding theme centred around a delightful colour scheme of pinks, white and silver.
The Wedding Dress: The bride and bridesmaids dresses were both similar in design.
All were strapless, full length gowns with tight-fitting bodices and sashes across the waist. The bride's bodice was decorated with beautiful crystal-like beading and embroidery.
The sash gathered to the side with more beading in a brooch-like design. All dresses flowed straight down from the waist and were very elegant in design.
Favourite Moment from the Wedding Day: If I had to pick one special moment from our enchanting day, it would be walking down the aisle. The grandeur of the church, the mesmerising sound of Pachelbel's 'Canon in D major' and the sight of my future husband waiting for me were overwhelming.
