You may be thinking that a second grader could cut out felt shaped like flowers and attach a button, so why pay so much for a felt flower designed by Lissylane? Well firstly, Lissylane felt flowers are more than just cut out pieces of felt. Every single felt flower has been hand stitched with matching thread, painstakingly ensuring that every stitch is perfectly aligned and the final product is as neat as possible. The time involved with making a single felt flower, whether it be for a bouquet or a corsage, takes at least 30 minutes to make (that's the absolute bare minimum).

I'm sure many people see the products sold at Lissylane and think "I could do that!!"  and the truth is yes, you most likely would be able to make your own. However, the time involved to make a high quality felt product such as what is sold here at Lissylane is extremely long and therefore, like everything, you need to weigh up the value of the time that it takes to make something yourself as opposed to pay for someone else to do it. I have heard time and time again brides deciding to DIY wedding invitations just to turn around after completing one invite to realise the time and effort involved and by the completion of the job admit they should have just payed for someone to make them instead. Now don't get me wrong, my wedding was very much DIY and I enjoyed every moment of it, but we are not all the same, so it really is a personal choice. Time is valuable when planning a wedding, so perhaps this is one way that Lissylane can help to ease that stress.

You would all also agree that when creating anything, practise makes perfect and let's just say...I've had a lot of practise! When making a felt flower no matter what the occasion, I treat it as though I am making it for myself, with a very high attention to detail. Needless to say I expect absolute perfection from everything I make and therefore that's what you will receive when purchasing a product from Lissylane. I search for quality products for all Lissylane creations and have a 'no settle' policy. If I'm not 100% satisfied with the quality of the craft materials then I don't use them in my products.
