Felt Flower Hair Accessories

DIY felt flower hair accessories can be as formal or informal as you like. From every day hair clips that I'm sure every little girl will love to fascinators to wear to the races, a wedding or other special occasion.

Large Hair Clips

Large and small hair clips can be made using various amounts of flowers, with or without leaves and other special embellishments. The large hair clips I make with a clasp attachment and are generally worn in the back of your hair either up or down. Most of the larger hair clips can include leaves with one large felt flower and two smaller felt flowers either side. As with all DIY projects, let your mind run wild and creativity fly into action.

Small Hair Clips

The small hair clips are designed to be a simple addition to an everyday hairstyle, adding that small touch of colour. They are attached to a hairclip and can be worn how you like. Great for young girls or can even help to add something special to a school uniform! All hair accessories can be custom made using a range of coloured felts (if your school has a policy where everything you wear must be school colours, then you could find felt to match the uniform). Build yourself a collection of hair accessories in a variety of colours and styles to match with all your existing pretty outfits.

Fascinators

Feather fascinators with felt flowers and ribbon make a stunning statement as an addition to race wear and formal wear. Custom made feather fascinators without felt flowers in a range of colours are also a fun DIY project. As you can imagine supplies for fascinators are more readily available around racing season.

Think about all the other hair accessory options that are available with felt flowers such as headbands and hair combs. Headbands for baby girls are just too cute for photo shoots and those speical little outfits. Make something precious as a keepsake for a naming day, dedication, christening or other event.
