What is a Pomander?

For those that haven't heard of pomanders, they are originally from French pomme d'ambre and are a ball made of perfumes worn or carried as a protection against infection.

They have since come along way from those times and are now balls of flowers carried at weddings and used as pew decorations. Other versions of a pomander are used as scented balls around the home. We are of course talking about the flower version of the pomander for the use at weddings, made of felt flowers by Lissylane.

These pomanders are a decorated ball using felt and button flowers and felt leaves and include a matching ribbon attachment for the purpose of carrying or hanging. They look fantastic as pew decorations and are so easy to set up whether you are having individual chairs for a garden wedding or on church/chapel pews.

I did mention that they are traditionally for flower girls at weddings, however they are a great alternative for the whole bridal party if you want a different option to the typical bouquet.
